Our approach to architecture and design is focused on the basics of form and function. Proportion. Mass. Color. Light. We believe size matters and an efficient floor plan can help us live more lightly and comfortably. Homes are carefully placed to create dynamic landscapes and green spaces, while preserving the natural beauty of the land. Mixson regulates the quality of materials and design and welcomes a range of architectural styles.
The result? Outstanding quality of construction and a form that is diverse and evolving is what makes every new home in Mixson an exciting addition to the Park Circle community. The design team and owners are always “taking it up a notch,” achieving new levels of creativity, craftsmanship and elegance. Design features are based on a study of the most enduring, alluring neighborhoods from around the world. Upon completion, Mixson will have approximately 300 single family homes, townhouses and condos, with all homes achieving a level of green certification.
Mixson is starting construction on new townhouses at the end of 2015. This phase of Mixson’s residential development will feature 18 townhouses starting around $300,000. While Mixson continues to cultivate its team of local architects and builders, the first townhouses in the new phase are being constructed by Sabal Homes. These elegant, sustainably built townhouses will combine Lowcountry warmth with modern style, maximizing living space and minimizing environmental impact. For more information on townhouses, please contact Marcos Vargas at 843.377.8695, 843.779.2166, or email@example.com.
Every home at Mixson will achieve a green certification, as targeted by the developer during construction. The first homes in the neighborhood had the distinction of being the first group of residences to achieve LEED for Homes Gold certification in South Carolina, in addition to achieving the Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star accreditation.
Mixson is designed to tread lightly on the environment. Its central location – close to public transit and within a short walk of restaurants, schools, parks and shops – allows residents to spend less time commuting in cars, and more time walking and biking in the neighborhood. Design and technology features maximize efficient use of space, improve overall occupant health, and conserve building materials, energy, and water. Mixson’s green focus results in comfortable, healthy, beautiful, high-value, high-performance homes that are affordable and simple to maintain.
